
Certification Definitions
The applied microbial remediation specialist has successfully passed the IICRC AMRT and WRT certifications and has submitted for review of standards and performance 10 completed mold remediation projects.
AMRT - Applied Microbial Remediation Technician
The applied microbial remediation technician has completed an approved course in mold and sewage remediation and has passed the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) exam.
ASDT - Applied Structural Drying Technician
The applied structural drying technician has completed an approved course in the effective, efficient and timely drying of water-damaged structures and contents, using comprehensive classroom and hands-on training, in order to facilitate appropriate decision-making within a restorative drying environment and has passed the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) exam.
MWR - Master Water Restorer
The master water restorer has a minimum of three (3) years experience and has attained additional certifications in (CCT or CCMT), RRT, WRT, ASD, AMRT/S and (HST or equivalent)
WDT - Water Damage Technician
The water damage technician has completed an approved course in the concept of water damage, it's effects and techniques for drying of structures and has passed the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) exam.
HST - Healthy and Safety Technician
The health and safety technician has completed an approved course covering OSHA standards, Inspections, Citations and Penalties, Record keeping, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication, Hazardous Materials, Confined Spaces, and Blood-born Pathogens
and has passed the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) exam.
CCT - Carpet Cleaning Technician
The carpet cleaning technician has completed an approved course in the fundamentals of carpet cleaning and has passed the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) exam.
CMI - Certified Mold Inspector
The certified mold inspector designation is awarded upon completion and passing exam of the Environmental Solutions Association (ESA) training program, "Initial Mold Inspection."
CMA - Certified Advanced Mold Assessor
The certified mold assessor designation is awarded upon completion and passing exam of the Environmental Solutions Association (ESA) training program, "Advanced Mold Inspection."
ASCS - Air System Cleaning Specialist
The ASCS designation is awarded by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) upon successful completion and passing examination by the NADCA education committee and certification committee.
